Course Description: CEU Events: Future-proofing Buildings with Whole Building Air Barriers
Buildings designed with resilient enclosure systems are better positioned to perform through increasingly demanding climate conditions. This course examines how whole building air barriers contribute to long-term building durability, exploring performance differences between air barrier types, material-level testing standards for high temperature resistance and UV durability, and moisture management strategies for roofs and walls. Participants gain the technical knowledge needed to evaluate air barrier performance beyond code minimums and apply building enclosure commissioning and airtightness verification programs that support safe, durable buildings.

Define specification requirements for future-proof whole building air barrier materials and installation.
Design a resilient roof assembly to meet the intensifying weather conditions.
