AEC Daily is one of the largest providers of continuing education (CE) to the Construction, Architectural, Interior Design and Engineering communities.   • Course Description: AEC Daily: Architectural Applications for Perforated Metal, Expanded Metal, & Wire Mesh

    Perforated Metal, Expanded Metal, and Wire Mesh combine aesthetics, durability, and functionality. Although each product is distinct with unique characteristics, they have similar properties that provide light and sound diffusion, security, strength, and durability. This course provides a review of the characteristics and architectural applications of these products, the different materials in them, and how they achieve a safe work environment.

    List and describe the types of materials that are used to create Perforated Metal, Expanded Metal, and Wire Mesh products.

    Describe the metal finishes available that are used to improve the appearance of the products and provide protection from the elements.

    Discuss the features, manufacturing process, applications, and specification considerations of Perforated Metal, Expanded Metal, and Wire Mesh.

    Explain how each product assists the design area in improving the workplace.

    State the design considerations when specifying metal products.
