  • Course Description: Ron Blank & Associates: Introduction to Entrance Flooring Systems

    This course will explain the functions and benefits of a well-designed entrance system and will provide application dependent guidelines that will aide in proper system design. Value and Benefit of an Entrance Flooring system. Industry standards, including ADA requirements and United States Green Council (USGBC) LEED credits and how they each pertain to entrance flooring systems. Design considerations describing he primary factors that impact the design and selection of an entrance system. Product option section provides an overview of the wide range of mat and grilles available. The application section reviews common applications, and makes system recommendations based on predetermined design factors.


    List three functions that every entrance flooring system needs to perform.

    Identify the impact a well-designed system has on: Safety, Customer's first impression, Indoor air quality, and building maintenance costs.

    Discuss entrance flooring products as they relate to ADA requirements and LEED credits.

    Select the right mat or grille for your building to ensure the safety of installers and occupants.
